Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to stay at Hillcrest22. We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful house in Keswick in the beautiful Lake District and hope this will be the first of many visits.

Please read our terms and conditions below:

Room availability

Whilst every endeavour will be made to secure a specific room requested, Hillcrest22 reserves the right to alter such reservations if required.

Prices

The price includes accommodation and breakfast. Evening meal (minimum booking of six) is available on request.

We accept the following forms of payment: cash, cheque with banker’s card and all major debit cards and credit cards (unfortunately we do not accept American Express or Diners Club).

Arrival

Your room should be available from 3:00pm on the day of arrival.  We do ask for an approximate time of arrival – please keep us informed of your travel arrangements.
Should you be travelling from further afield and arrive after 10:00pm we ask that you consider other guests when checking in and transporting luggage to your room.

Departure

Please be ready to vacate your room by 10:00am on the day of departure. Your account is payable on departure; however, if you are making an early start please make arrangements to settle your account on the day prior to departure.

Animals

Sorry, but for allergy reasons we are unable to accept pets at Hillcrest22.

Cancellation and Insurance

If you need to cancel please contact us as soon as possible.

If it is necessary for guests to either alter or cancel their travel arrangements, we will attempt to re-sell the booking on your behalf. If this is not possible, the following details clarify our policy:

  • Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 14 days before your booking date you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time, or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling, you will be liable for the total amount. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance which is inexpensive and widely available.
  • Some cancellations are unavoidable, where possible, we may be able to transfer your booking to another date.
  • Should the need arise to check out early/shorten your stay whilst already staying with us, we reserve the right to charge the full amount applicable to your original booking.

We recommend you check your travel insurance covers you for cancellations due to emergency situations.

Non-availability

We would only cancel a booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, we would refund monies already paid by you. Our obligation would not extend beyond this remedy. We would be happy to provide you with details of alternative accommodation in Keswick if required.

Damages and Breakages

We take great pride in providing excellent facilities and high levels of cleanliness. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

Liability

Hillcrest22 does not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to you and any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.

Data

Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on a computer, excepting payment details.
